Peter Coad

Independent Non-Executive Chair

Peter joined MONEYME as the independent Non-Executive Chair in October 2019.
Peter is a member of the Disclosure Committee.
Peter has more than 30 years’ experience in domestic and international banking and is a specialist in financial services and risk management with broad experience across financial and capital markets, funds management and consumer finance.
Prior to this role, Peter served in senior executive roles at National Australia Bank from 2005 to 2017 where his leadership experience included roles as Head of Global Markets and Asset Servicing, Wholesale Banking; Chief Risk Officer, Business Banking; and Executive General Manager of International Branches and Transformation.
Peter previously worked for Commonwealth Bank of Australia and Chase Manhattan Bank in Australia, Asia and the US where he held global and regional leadership roles in institutional banking and financial/capital markets.
Peter is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Clayton Howes

Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer

Clayton is a co-founder and has been the Chief Executive Officer of MONEYME since its inception.
Clayton is the Chair of the Disclosure Committee.
Clayton brings more than 15 years’ experience in the development of brands, business strategy and innovation. He has a strong background of executing capital strategies, building new technologies to replace legacy processes and fostering highly engaged and rewarding team cultures.
Prior to establishing MONEYME, Clayton spent eight years at Vodafone and Vodafone Hutchinson Australia where his roles included Head of Retail Channels & Head of Retail Transformation, Head of Sales Strategy & Distribution Management, Head of Sales Investments & Planning and Commercial Finance Manager. During this time, Clayton was responsible for strategy, finance, sales and business transformation.
Clayton previously worked for Glaxo Smith Kline in United Kingdom within strategic mergers management and planning.
Clayton has a Bachelor of Commerce (Statistics, Economics and Finance) from Oxford Brookes University. He also has a Certificate in Business Accounting from the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.

Jonathan Lechte

Independent Non-Executive Director

Jonathan joined MONEYME as a Non-Executive Director in October 2019.
Prior to his appointment as a Director, Jonathan had been a member of the MONEYME’s advisory board from 2015.
Jonathan has more than 20 years’ experience in banking and corporate finance.
Jonathan served in senior executive roles in investment banking, fixed income markets and risk management, including as Head of Fixed Income and Managing Director at UBS Australia, Japan and Asia from 1993 to 2007. More recently, he served as Non-Executive Director of FIIG Securities Australia from 2008 to 2015, responsible for investment strategy and risk governance.
Jonathan holds a Graduate Diploma in Banking and Finance from Monash University. He is also a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Jonathan is the Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee.

Scott Emery

Non-Executive Director

Scott Emery is a co-founder and has been a Non-Executive Director of MONEYME from its inception.
Scott is a member of the Remuneration and Nomination Committee.
Scott has over 30 years’ experience in establishing and running property development companies across Australia.
Scott is the founder and managing Director of a commercial building company, Yarra Valley Commercial, established in 1986, where under his guidance, the business has grown to be a national shopfitting and building company.

Susan Hansen

Non-Executive Director

Susan joined MONEYME as a Non-Executive Director in December 2023.
Susan is a member of the Audit & Risk Management Committee.
Susan brings 40 years of experience in finance, risk assessment, and governance.
Susan has served as a non-executive director at listed and non-listed companies in Australia, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom since 2001 and currently chairs the Audit Committee for several boards, including for ASX-listed Resimac Group Ltd.
Beyond her directorship commitments, she is an accomplished author, speaker, and course facilitator at the Institute of Directors in New Zealand.
Susan is a Chartered Accountant with a Bachelor of Commerce and an MBA from the University of Cape Town.

David Taylor

Independent Non-Executive Director

David joined the MONEYME Board in March 2022, following MONEYME’s acquisition of SocietyOne.
David is the Chair of the Remuneration and Nomination Committee and a member of the Audit and Risk Committee.
Prior to his appointment, David served four years as a Non -Executive Director on SocietyOne’s board, from March 2018 to March 2022.
David has over 30 years of financial services experience across retail banking, payment systems, superannuation, wholesale banking, funds management, capital markets and Fintech partnerships.
Between 2010 - July 2021 David was the CEO and a Director of G&C Mutual Bank (and remains a Director of G&C Mutual Bank). David is currently also a Director of CUFSS Limited and Shared Service Partners Pty Ltd.
David has held numerous Directorships in the finance industry over the past 25 years, including on the Boards of mutual banks, credit unions, industry superannuation funds, stockbroking companies, payment systems companies, technology companies and Fintechs.

Rachel Gatehouse

Independent Non-Executive Director

Rachel joined MONEYME as a Non-Executive Director in December 2022.
Rachel is the Chair of the Audit & Risk Management Committee.
Rachel has over 30 years’ financial services experience across the asset finance, motor finance, retail banking, structured lending and BNPL sectors.
Between 2019 and 2022, Rachel worked in venture capital backed firms, including solar financing fintech Brighte, where as CFO and COO she oversaw finance, credit, operations, and debt funding. Prior to that, Rachel held CFO and senior finance roles at HBOS Australia and ANZ Bank.
Rachel's governance experience includes Acting CEO of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and previous directorships at Landcare Australia and Capital Finance Australia Limited.
Rachel holds a Bachelor of Economics and Finance from The University of New South Wales, is qualified as a Certified Practicing Accountant and has completed the Australian Institute of Directors’ director course.

Jamie McPhee

Independent Non-Executive Chair

Jamie is a member of the Disclosure Committee and the Remuneration and Nomination Committee.
Between 2010 – 2020, Jamie was Chief Executive Officer of ME Bank. Prior to that he served as an Executive Director of Bendigo and Adelaide Bank and was Managing Director of Adelaide Bank.
Jamie is currently a Director of G&C Mutual Bank and Archa Limited. He was previously the Chair of SocietyOne from March 2021 until its acquisition by MONEYME in March 2022. He also served on the Boards of Rural Bank, the South Australian Cricket Association and Melbourne Renegades.
Jamie is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
